2012 Movie Log Entry #4: Le Voyage Dans La Lune (1902, restored with new soundtrack by AIR 2011)
I first caught a glimpse of Georges Méliès Le Voyage Dans La Lune way back when in EPCOT Center’s Horizons. I saw the full film at some point early in my cinema loving days. It’s an incredible piece of movie-making and I was thrilled when I heard that one of my favorite bands, Air, was providing a soundtrack for a restored version. It’s a brilliant pairing.
